Fybrous:
Fybrous is an early game made by Upgrade Productions fall of 2007. It is a small top-down space shooter that follows the playstyle of a classic arcade game, with upgraded graphics.
It is programmed in python and pygame with three levels, plus a final boss fight. At the time of this project I was the only artist in Upgrade Productions, so the task fell to me to define the look and feel of the game.
This was the team's very first production, and at this point the programmers had never done programming for games before. It was an ambitious project for our timeframe, but we'd ended up having one of the most complete projects in the class. (The game includes three full levels and a bossfight, though it may take awhile to get through level 1.)
Fybrous pits a single defense fighter against an inter-stellar metallic "mold" that builds and replicates itself with golden threads, and glowing, purple crystals. The player must navigate safely through space and into the atmosphere of a Fybrous-infected planet, finally flying into and destroying the Hive-mind of the Fybrous colony.

(This is an alpha build created in two weeks, bugs are likely! Python and Pygame are required to run it- but both are included in the Zip folder.)
