Mini:

Mini was a project built by our group closer to the end of the semester. It is a multi-player game in which each player takes control of one of the four characters, and uses a paddle to attempt to protect their Mini-Hero from flying metal balls that are introduced over time onto the playing board.

Each player starts in a corner of their own, and has a small "fortress" of bricks built around their hero. The objective of the game is to be the last one to have their mini knocked out.

Strategies usually revolve around trying to deflect balls towards other players. -- Due to the time of year (other finals), the programmers never did get to finish the details of the game, so the interface is not entirely implimented yet.- It also requires (up to) four computers on a network with the game installed (one running a client) to function.

Like Fibrous, my involvement in this game was on a conceptual and artistic level. I helped design and refine the initial concept of gameplay, and then followed that up by creating a look/feel that would be appropriate for a small party minigame. (Given the request from the programmers that they wanted to work on something funny and cartoon-y.)

The result is an epic battle between a ninja, a pirate, a robot, and a pink bunny-rabbit (The last at our lead programmer's request).

A -VERY- rough Alpha can be downloaded Here.

Like Fibrous, it will require Python, and Pygame- and will also require Panda3D for the 3D elements.
